How to knit Flying Geese Stitch

With Flying geese technique, you can make knittings like sweaters, socks, baby blanket. It will not be difficult for a knitters in the middle level. This technique allows you to use different colors as well as use a single color string.

Flying geese a great way to use up some of those odds and ends of fingering weight yarn left over from other knitting projects.

Materials:

Yarns: Fingering weight yarn in two different colors, about 12 m of each color.

Needles: 2.5 and 3 mm (US 1½ and 2½) Sundries: Tapestry needle for binding off

Gauge: Gauge is not important for this project

Row 1 – RS: Knit 1, purl 5, knit 5, purl 1

Row 2: Knit 2, purl 4, knit 4, purl 2

Row 3: Knit 3, purl 3 , knit 3 , purl 3

Row 4: Knit 4, purl 2, knit 2, purl 4

Row 5: Knit 5, purl 1, knit 1, purl 5

Row 6: Knit 6, purl 6

Row 7: Knit 5, purl 1, knit 1, purl 5

Row 8: Knit 4, purl 2, knit 2, purl 4

Row 9: Knit 3, purl 3, knit 3, purl 3

Row 10: Knit 2, purl 4, knit 4, purl 2

Row 11: Knit 1, purl 5, knit 5, purl 1

Row 12: Purl 6, knit 6

Repeat Rows 1 – 12.
