  • Season: Winter, Autumn

How to knit waiscoat

BACK SIDE:

Cast on 60 stitches with yarn color no.5195. Work in 1×1 circular ribbing for 7 cm and change to knit stitch with yarn color no.223 and 120 stitches. Knit using yarn color no.5195 alternately spacing 2 rows. Knit body for 47 cm and cast off 3+2+1 stitches at both sides for the armhole. When the body measures 69 cm, center the stitches for the neck; cast off 48 stitches in the middle together and each 30 stitches remaining on the shoulders in the next row in 3 steps and then bind off.

FRONT SIDE:

Cast on 62 stitches and knit as back body. Knit body for 47 cm and cast off 1 stitch 26 times in the front middle part for the neck spacing 2 rows. When the body measures 69 cm, cast off 30 stitches remaining on the shoulders in 3 steps and bind off. Knit the other front piece in the same way.

THE SLEEVE RIBS:

Cast on 60 stitches with yarn color no.5195. Reach to 130 stitches working circular ribbing. Rib 1×1 for 3 cm and sew around the sleeve loop by loop.

NECK:

Cast on 98 stitches with yarn color no.5195. Reach to 196 stitches working circular ribbing. Rib 1×1 for 3 cm and sew around the sleeve loop by loop. Open 7 buttonholes spacing 6 cm on the left side.
