Donna Wolfe from Naztazia shows you how to knit a rose. This is a easy knitting technique that uses a gathering and rolling method to create a knitted flower madeg from just the garter stitch.

Flower (Make 1)

Cast on 6 sts.

Row 1 k into the front and back of each st.

Row 2 k across.

Row 3 k into the front and back of each st.

Row 4 k across.

Row 5 k into the front and back of each st.

Row 6 k across.

Cast off alt stitches.

Shape into rose and seam up.

Leaf (make 1)

Cast on 2 sts.

Row 1 k across.

Row 2 k into the front and back of each st.

Row 3 k into the front and back of first st, k2, k into the front and back of last st.
Row 4 k into the front and back of first st,

k into the front and back of Last st.

Row 5 knit into the front and back of first st, kb, k into the front and back of Last st.

Row 6 to 15 knit.

Row 16 k2tog, kb, k2tog.

Row 17 k2tog, k4, k2tog.

Row 18 k2tog, k2, k2tog.

Row 19 2ktog, k2tog.

Row 20 k.

Cast off. Using excess yarn and darning needle sew flower to base of leaf and darn in ends
