    • Hi Jessica, why is it taking you so long to answer people’s questions. This pattern doesn’t make any sense and you are saying it’s for beginners.

  2. I’m in Australia and trying to work out your needle size – are you patterns metric, US mm or UK mm ?
When you say 4mm is that American or metric as 4mm metric is equivalent to 6mm US
I really want to start knitting this fro my grandson so I hope you will respond quickly
    Thank you

  3. Hi, I’m currently knitting the child’s jumper but as a beginner am confused by the following instruction:

Cast off 2+2+1 stitches in every row at both sides of the neck.

Does this mean cast off 5 stitches?

    • I can’t get a reply either.. do you think it means cast off three in the next row on either side and then 2 in the following row – which equals 10 stitches. That adds upBut why not just say this??

    • Cast off 2 on that row then on the next row cast of 2 then one on next row 2 then 2 on the next row then 1 then 1 on the last row. I cast off on the next row as you cant cast off on the end of a row. I think my sleeves have turned out ok

  4. when you say cast off “When the sleeve measures 20 cm, cast off 1+3+2 stitches at both sides 2+2+11 times for the armhole.” what do you actually mean – i can’t understand this….help.
I really want to knit this for my grandson and i am a beginner.
    Thank you

    • I really need the 2+2+1 explained. I am not a beginner and I have never seen instructions written that way. I would really want to knit that sweater asap. Thanks in advance.

  5. I really love this little sweater. Can you let me know how many stitches need to be cast on for the other sizes and would you say that size 6 is for a four year old. Plus could you explain the cast off 2+2+1 as mentioned by other people. Thank you

  6. Hi I have worked out the increasing on the sleeve every 4th row one at the beginning and one at the end till you get to 53 stitches. I did it the way they said but it didn’t work out right as I was increasing on a purl side and I read on utube you don’t. I am disappointed in this site as no one has replied to problems with the pattern.

  7. Directions for this is not complete. You didn’t show how to finish the neckline and button hole and button band. It’s incomplete directions. Please guide me.

  8. Look at the diagram- My sweater came out nice – thanks to the diagram and educated guesses. I thought I was going crazy too then read everyone’s questions. I also had to change the #’s cause used chunky – and convert to inches. Oh well.

    • Can you please help me to put this together as I have no clue.it states pick up 78 stitches is that from back and front of neck all together? And what out the other side for button holes how did you put that side together please. Would really appreciate your help as have done a Mickey Mouse diagram using this pattern. Thank you
