Easy children sweater knitting pattern for beginners

How to knit easy sweater:

BACK SIDE:

Cast on 60 stitches. Knit garter stitch for 3 cm and change to knit stitch. When the body measures 20 cm, cast off 1 stitch at both sides 6 times for the armhole. When the body measures 32 cm, cast off each 15 stitches at both sides in 2 phases for the shoulders and in the next row, cast off 18 stitches in the middle at once and finish off.

FRONT SIDE:

Cast on 60 stitches and knit as back body. Knit body for 28 cm and cast off 8 stitches in the front middle part for the neck. Continue knitting in 2 pieces. It is cast off 2+2+1 stitches in every row at both sides of the neck. When the body measures 32 cm, cast off 15 stitches remaining on the right shoulder in 2 steps and work garter stitch on 15 stitches remaining on the left shoulder for 2 cm. And cast off these 15 stitches and finish off. Open 2 buttonholes on the left shoulder.

SLEEVES:

Cast on 36 stitches. Knit garter stitch for 3 cm and change to knit stitch. Increase 1 stitch at both sides 8 times spacing 2 rows and reach to 52 stitches. When the body measures 19 cm, cast off 1 stitch at both sides 6 times for the armhole. When the sleeve measures 24 cm, cast off remaining 40 stitches together and bind off. Knit the other sleeve in the same way.

NECK :

It is picked up 62 stitches on the needle around the neck and it is knitted 2 cm garter stitch and then the stitches are cast off together and bound off.
